About Dan Hammond

Dan is a musculoskeletal and orthopaedic physiotherapist specialising in performance and lower-limb rehabilitation. His experience spans across private MSK clinics, specialist NHS services, trauma and orthopaedics and post-operative rehabilitation. Dan completed his training and MSc in Physiotherapy at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, after graduating with First Class Honours in Medical Sciences from Oxford Brookes.

He works with ambitious and driven individuals who expect a lot from their bodies, helping them recover from injury, rebuild physical capacity and return confidently to sports, training and the demands of everyday life. His clinical interests include knee and ankle rehabilitation, running and endurance injuries, post-operative rehabilitation and return to performance.

Dan’s approach goes beyond simply settling pain. He looks at the motivations each individual wants to return to, identifies what is limiting them, and uses progressive, exercise-led rehabilitation to rebuild the strength, capacity and confidence required to perform.

A keen endurance athlete himself with a 3:13 marathon PB and a background in competitive swimming and water polo, Dan brings both clinical expertise and a first-hand understanding of the demands of training, injury and returning to performance.
