Why do I need Ultrasound?

Who is Ultrasound NOT for?

This includes patients with active cancer, those with open wounds or skin infections, individuals with metal implants in the treatment area, pregnant women (particularly near the abdomen), people with cardiovascular devices, those with acute infections, and patients with decreased sensation or poor circulation in the targeted area.

What are the components of an Ultrasound treatment?

The components of an ultrasound treatment typically include a specialised ultrasound machine, a treatment head (or transducer), conductive gel, and a trained healthcare professional. The treatment head emits sound waves and is moved in a circular motion over the affected area, with conductive gel applied to ensure proper wave transmission and prevent air pockets. Treatment parameters such as frequency, intensity, and duration are carefully adjusted based on the specific condition and patient needs.
