Introducing Chris Hutchins-Joss & Poonam Jetha
Meet Chris Hutchins-Joss: Whole Person Care at GX Physio
Living with chronic pain or recovering from injury isn’t just physically challenging—it also takes an emotional toll. We’re delighted to introduce Chris Hutchins-Joss, a specialist in CBT, ACT and Pain Management who joins the GX Physio team to provide evidence-based emotional support alongside your physical treatment.
Meet Poonam Jetha: Deeply accessing and tackling previous trauma
Having had a traumatic experience in the past often means we carry things which aren’t ours to carry, or build on top of this causing problems when presented with stressful moments in life. Either tackling this when it arises, or acting preventatively is apt and appropriate. The goal is to release and relief from past traumatic events. Therefore, we’re so happy that Poonam Jetha, a specialist in CBT, & EMDR will be joining our wonderful team!

What is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a form of psychotherapy used to treat trauma-related mental health conditions like PTSD. It involves recalling traumatic memories while engaging in specific eye movements, bilateral stimulation, or other techniques. EMDR helps individuals process and reprocess traumatic memories, reducing their emotional intensity and associated distress.
From now on in this blog, we will be focusing upon how Chris can personally assist you with his skillset, and we will release a further post very soon focusing on Poonam.
