Tim recently treated me for acute back pain. He quickly & accurately diagnosed the problem & gave me exercises which rapidly gave me relief.

He was always so patient & encouraging, making sure I understood how to do the exercises properly. I really appreciated Tim’s personable, sensitive & compassionate approach in all his dealings with me - I always felt completely at ease with him.

I wholeheartedly recommend his services!

My name is Heather. I moved to Marlow in Jan. 2021. I was in great pain from sciatica. A friend recommended Tim.

He visited me at my house, and after a thorough examination prescribed a series of exercises which he demonstrated himself and made sure I could do them.

He left me with detailed descriptions of the exercises which were very easy to follow. He followed up with 2 more visits and emails and told me it would take 6 months for the sciatica to go.

By June it was gone and has not returned!

Tim is amazing! I'd wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone needing physio.

He knows what he's talking about, explaining things in an easy to understand way and really listens to fully engage in giving you the help you need.

I have a prosthetic right arm so when I needed physio for my left arm, he took great care to give me exercises that were adapted to what I could manage with my prosthetic arm. I thought my arm would never be OK again, but Tim worked wonders & I'm now as good as new!

Can't thank him enough...he's a complete star!

The GX Physio Team I found to be highly skilled Physiotherapists, professional, thorough, attentive, good at what they do and passionate about helping their clients.

They really helped me out with shoulder and back issues. Not only did they alleviate the immediate pain but also considered the underlying causes for this and advised me with how I could address these.

They are super practical in the exercises that are set. They provide you with access to an easily accessible online platform to help with the exercises and were thorough in their assessment and formulation of my physical difficulties.

I would certainly recommend GX Physio!

Physiotherapy Services Available

If you are in pain, or discomfort from an injury or you are preparing or recovering from surgery, the GX Physio team can help.

Low Back

You could get low back discomfort gradually or all of a sudden. Pain can result from damaged joints, discs, or nerves, as well as from simple muscular tension. Stress, posture, muscle weakness, and chronic soft tissue alterations all have a tendency to become more significant the longer the back pain persists. It's not enjoyable to have back pain, and it can make you feel helpless and frustrated. For recovery, a thorough evaluation and a planned rehabilitation programme are essential.

Ankle Foot Pain

The most common acute ankle injury is the inversion sprain, which is damage to the ligaments on the outside of the ankle.  Plantar fasciitis is the most frequent cause of a progressive onset of pain in the foot arch, with peak tenderness towards the back of the arch near to the heel. It can be difficult to treat, but with consistent therapy, it typically gets better. Another common source of pain is the achilles tendon, which is located at the back of the ankle. You can be very confident GX Physios have experience with all types of ankle injuries.

Shoulder

Problems with the "rotator cuff" tendons frequently result in shoulder pain that develops gradually. In most cases, trauma—which can range from quickly reaching out to catch a falling object to violent dislocation from body contact—causes acute onset of shoulder pain. Frozen shoulder is a common condition after shoulder surgery, or for those with diabetes. A rotator cuff tendon tear or cartilage injury can both cause shoulder pain. A clavicle fracture or acromioclavicular joint separation may result from a fall onto the shoulder.

Neck

Neck pain can appear suddenly or gradually. Both simple muscular stress and damage to joints, discs, or nerves can cause pain. Neck pain can become more severe and linger longer due to a variety of factors, including stress, poor posture, and weak muscles. Constant neck pain and headaches can make it difficult to focus and sleep, and they are incredibly taxing and annoying. To quickly get rid of your pain, contact GX Physio today.

Elbow

Most often, elbow pain develops gradually as a result of misuse, but it can also develop suddenly as a result of a direct blow, a forceful movement, or a fall onto the arm. The most frequent cause of elbow pain is lateral epicondylitis, also known as "tennis elbow," which is brought on by repetitive use irritating the tendon/bone junction. "Golfers elbow" is another common cause, this time on the inside of the elbow.  If you're not sure of the cause of your elbow pain and want a diagnosis and action plan, then contact Tim today.

Wrist and Hand

Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI), dislocated fingers, wrist sprains, carpal tunnel syndrome, fractures, and nerve injuries can all happen to our hands and wrists because we use them so frequently and keep them in the middle of the action. Injury to the wrists or hands, which are frequently used in the course of your job, might have terrible consequences if you are left unable to use them. Send us a message right away to get started on your path to recovery!

Hip and Upper leg

Hip pain can be brought on by trauma or arthritis, but there are many other components in the hip area that can also be causing your pain. Nerves like the sciatic nerve, in addition to the hamstring and quad muscles, can lead to pain in the buttocks - or the sacroiliac joint may be to blame! Reach out today to receive your diagnosis and plan.
Book now

Knee and Lower leg

The origin of 70% of knee pain is the hip. Strange, hey! Arthritis, knee instability brought on by specific muscle weakness, and cartilage damage are some additional primary causes of knee pain. Shin splints, a painful and exhausting injury to your shin muscle are one of the most typical causes of lower leg pain. When circumstances are severe, this may lead to a stress fracture or, worse, compartment syndrome - which needs urgent attention. Reach out today!
